This artwork is an original textile landscape where a quiet house appears among a fantastical winter forest of tall, slender trees. The pale blush façade and deep burgundy roof create a warm, intimate focal point, while the surrounding trunks rise in an unexpected mixture of turquoise, black, cream, blue, and patterned fabrics. Snow-covered ground, delicate branches, animal-print accents, and richly ornamented textile fragments transform the familiar winter scene into an imaginative, almost dreamlike landscape. Technique: Art quilt (textile collage). Fabric fragments are sewn by hand and with a sewing machine.
