It is an original textile still life inspired by the quiet beauty of flowers gathered from a summer garden. A generous bouquet of deep indigo, dusty pink, soft lavender, ivory, and pale mint blossoms rises from a dark patterned vase, surrounded by delicate stems and graceful leaves. Against the light, intricately layered background, the flowers seem both vivid and fragile, as though they have just been brought indoors and arranged with care. Technique: Art quilt (textile collage). Fabric fragments are sewn by hand and with a sewing machine.
