This playful goose seems to be peeking around the corner, curious about everything happening nearby. Bright fabrics, layered textures and expressive quilting turn a familiar farm bird into a cheerful contemporary artwork full of personality.
A small detail for textile lovers: this artwork includes a hand-stitched sashiko element — a technique previously used only in Nana Barkalaia’s exhibited works created for a Textile Triennial.
Technique: Art quilt (textile collage). Fabric fragments are sewn by hand and with a sewing machine.
