The bird is frozen in motion: not yet in flight, yet no longer at rest. In this state, there is a balance and a delicate equilibrium—the very same feeling that often comes at the start of a new year. When the old is already behind us and the new is just taking shape, it’s important not to rush, but to sense the direction.
Technique: art quilt, quilt collage. Textile painting: fragments of fabrics are sewn by hand and on a sewing machine.
