This one is an original textile landscape inspired by the quiet transformation of the countryside after rainfall. Layered fields stretch toward a small cluster of white houses and distant violet mountains beneath a soft pink and silvery sky. Golden yellow, vivid orange, olive green, emerald, purple, and muted blue fabrics create a landscape rich with contrasts, while the stitched lines flowing across the fields and hills evoke traces left by water, wind, and changing weather. The poetic title adds another dimension to the scene — a landscape that seems to hold a memory of the rain long after the clouds have passed.
Technique: Art quilt (textile collage). Fabric fragments are sewn by hand and with a sewing machine.
